She started in the 3-5 yr old class. Her first class no one else was there. So it was great - a private lesson really! Second class, she had one other girl in her class...who was 3 yrs old. But still not too bad. But by the next class, 3 yr old's little sister was in the class, trying it out...she was only 2. Gah! Brenna spent a lot of time waiting. But. She was just 'trying it out', right? No. Next class, 3 yr old, 2 yr old sister and 2 other 3 yr olds were there on a make up day. I think Brenna only did a few things that class. The teacher spent most of her time corralling the littles. When she got to Brenna, she told her what to do , Brenna did it, went and sat back down and waited. She needed no help.
So, it was after THAT class that I went down and talked to them about switching. The next class up is for ages 6-10. So Brenna would be HIGHLY underage. However, I wasn't happy with her being in this class any more. So they found a compromise and put her in a 6-10 old class, where the oldest was 8 yrs. Brenna is still the youngest....but she's not in there with super huge kids. She tried it out the first time last week.
Once she knew what to do (at each station), she was fine. And the teacher (coincidentally the same one she had before) told me she would be fine skill wise in that class and to leave her there afterwards. Unfortunately, now there's only 2 more weeks (ish)? until school starts. :(
