School shopping

As much as I DON'T want to admit it....school starting is coming quickly.  I prefer to avoid the rush, chaos, long lines, and limited choices as the day gets nearer.  So, we headed out the other day to get school supplies.  I foresee we'll have specific requests from teachers shortly before school starts, but I wanted to get all the major stuff out of the way as the stores tend to run out of the stuff!

This was Brenna's first time to get 'real' school supplies for her Kindergarten year.  I was more sentimental about it than she was....  :(

$65 later and a cart full of supplies, we were done.  Despite her begging, Brooke will be using her same backpack (through elementary school)....as I just ordered Brenna one from the same company as Brooke's.  It held up very well and while its a little more expensive, it's worth it in the long run.  As they'll use it through elementary.  ;)  Hers hasn't come in yet, but after it does, we'll be done with that as well.  Then just need some clothes/shoes stuff (and wouldn't even need that if it weren't for the stupid dress code...grrrr!)  and we're good to go! :)
