So, after the first part of our Christmas day with just us... we spent a lot of time lounging, eating treats, and playing with toys. Eventually, though, we got around to picking up and cleaning up (a little) to prepare for the rest of the family coming over for Christmas dinner!
Brad started in on the turkey...

My dad got here and started cooking too!
And while we were both busy cooking and preparing food, etc..(notice the dessert bar!)
Family started to show up. First, Grandpa Scott. He got a first view of Brooke's iPod and she showed him everything on it!

My mom got here as well. Then Brad's family. And when Tara showed up the living room started to become taken over by presents! (again)
I don't know why... but I didn't get a single picture of the table or us at the table or anything! too busy cooking I guess. But there were 11 of us and we all fit nicely (tightly) at our table and had a great dinner (with lots of leftovers!). Then we made our way to the living room to exchange presents. We let the little elves start handing out stuff...
Before we opened, Brenna wanted to sing for everyone though. And my parents had gotten to see her sing yet, so we obliged...
Then, we dove in!
The girls got tons more! Brenna got more games for her LeapPad, a couple of puzzles, a little fuzzy Furby looking thing, a doodle car (its a car that drives where you write - it comes with a paper track - pretty cool!), a glow in the dark doodle pad, sleeping bag, and more! As well as some money.
Bridwell even showed up and it was nice to see him again!

Brooke got more than she could imagine. A Wappy Dog game for her Nintendo DS... and if you have a girl with a DS, you should check out this game. It comes with a dog that does what you do to it on the game. Very neat! She got a couple of other games that she was wanting, a puzzle herself, an Easy Bake oven (she was wanting this too!), personalized sleeping bag of her own Cabbage Patch Kids (that she apparently told Tara she wanted?), and more! Along with cash of her own too.

Brad got lots of coffee (K-Cups for his Keurig), lots of books, audiobooks, iTunes, some new ties and dress shirts, Pierre, a sewing kit..and yes, these are things he asked for! Haha!
I got the new edition of Lightroom (yippee!) and a Vera Bradley wallet to match my purse, along with all other kinds of Vera Bradley matching items, an Olive Garden gift card, garden tools and stuff, iTunes, a couple of books, and more!
We were all so blessed. And it's always too much generosity. But we are very appreciative. :)
However, the best package was the one that kept wrapping herself up! Out of all the toys, games, and stuff they got, the girls had more fun playing with the huge bags they came in!
So, after all the packages were open, we had mounds of trash and wrapping paper, torn up boxes and more! It looked like Christmas threw up in our living room! But before everyone headed home, we got this picture - of the girls with all four grandparents and one great-grandparent!
The girls had such a super fun day. And honestly...it wasn't the toys, the presents, the treats... it was having everyone here, at our house, in one place, at one time. It was downright fun. In fact, so fun.... that after everyone left, Brooke was crying b/c she wanted everyone to stay at our house forever. She didn't want it to end. It didn't matter to her the mounds of toys she now had to play with - she just liked having her family together.
It also helped b/c she was overtired I'm sure. But she was ok after a bit. And on to the toys. We all had a fun day and have been having even more fun playing with all our new toys and gadgets and games over the last few days. We all had a great Christmas and could not have asked for a better time!
