A new year!

Hi all! I know I've been MIA lately. Busy... Busy catching up. Busy getting 'back to normal'. Busy cleaning and putting up Christmas decorations. A few photoshoots too. Just busy. I kept having stuff to come and post about... but never time to do it.

So here I am again.

I'll start small.

We spent the first week after Christmas playing. Playing with new toys and games and things. There are some definite favorite things, but we were too busy playing to take pictures. ;P

We also got to have a couple of playdates before school started back up again. Brooke enjoyed trying out the new Easy Bake Oven one day with Jordyn...

Along with doing a few other fun things.

We drove to Brenham one day to visit the grandparents. The girls enjoyed playing at PaPoo's work (he works at a church, that has a nice playground :) )...

We took the girls to see the Muppet movie one day (great movie by the way! so fun!). And Brooke got in LOTS of reading. She read like 6 books over the break! (like...loooong chapter books) Which got her up to 50 AR points once she got back to school and took tests over the applicable ones.

But mostly, the girls have been playing around the house. It has been quite amazing how much fun they have been having with each other! They play with each other every. single. day. They really really enjoy each other's company! They've been building things outside (yea, the weather has been in the 70's)...from restaurants to movie theaters and more. They've been putting on shows for us, complete with scripts, etc. They've been just genuinely PLAYING. Just enjoying life. We had to make them separate some for naps and other necessities, but for the most part, they've been loving being home together. And it was kinda sad to actually have to break them up and send them back to school this past week. Gasp! I know. I can't believe I said that. That I was NOT ready for them to go back to school. We enjoyed each other's company...a lot. We had great time together. We all slept in every day and just enjoyed our family. And now, its time to get back to the old grind. sigh. Oh well.... I'm sure the fights would've started soon, right?

Mommy: "Well, I hope not. Barbie and Ken are supposed to be together right?"

As Brooke was going potty, Brenna yells out from the living room: "I better hear some flushing in there missy!" - Brenna (2 yr) 4-3-11

Daddy: "Brenna, just say 'no' one time to Barkley."
