Smarty Pants Brenna :)

I swear I take absolutely no credit for teaching her any of this. This is all courtesy of LeapFrog Letter Factory . We have car DVD players, so a couple months ago we stuck this DVD in and its just on whenever we are out and about. Nothing else to do in the car, so I figure she might as well soak up some educational stuff right? And soak it up she did indeed! I guess it also helps to have an older sister who helps teach her too? And she is continually wanting to do letters...wanting me to draw them, play games with the letter magnets, etc. She's even drawn a few letters herself too! (on purpose or by accident I'm not sure) I thought it was pretty impressive when Brooke knew her colors at 19 months. And also when Brenna knew her colors around the same time. But I think this raises the bar. A barely-2 year old knowing all her letters and the sounds they make. (and she does know them all...don't try to trick her!) This video was taken a week or more ago and since she's even gotten quicker. She even read her first 3-letter word the other day! :O I can only imagine the things she'd be doing if she was in school with Ms Lydia this summer! Oh well...soon enough I suppose. She can also sing her alphabet song pretty well and count to 10 in Japanese (thanks to Brooke's karate class). She's one smart cookie I think! :)
