Swimming!

It's official. Brooke is swimming on her own and knows it. I say it like that because for a couple days during swim lessons the teacher let go but Brooke didn't realize it. Now, she knows she can swim and has the confidence to do it herself. Yay!!!! Go Brooke!

Hard to believe that 4 short weeks ago, she was scared to put her face in the water. She first took the Preschool 2 level class through the City's program and immediately started going underwater easily. Where did that come from?! Then, she progressed and was bumped up into the next level and yesterday she finished up the Preschool 3 level class, swimming on her own! She passed all the milestones for that class but cannot officially move to the next level, because it also goes by age and she's not old enough. So we might let her repeat Preschool 3 or we might try to get a family friend to teach her further privately.

But we are so so proud of how far she's come! I won't bore you with endless videos I took of such the monumental event, but here is one short one I'll share taken the last day of lessons, where she was literally swimming through hoops! :))
