Today, we made yet another little day trip - this time to the home of Blue Bell creameries. We loaded up the car (I make that sound easy right?) and headed to the little town in the 'country' with some friends. Loading up the car (read: putting 4 carseats, 2 adults, and 2 strollers in one car) was fun...to say the least. And at the last minute, we decided we needed an umbrella stroller. That we didn't have. So I called my aunt (who was vacationing in Branson!) to see if she had one at her house we could borrow...she lives around the corner. She did, but warned me it was in the attic and the attic was very very dark. I thought...whatever. How dark could it be at 10 o'clock in the morning with the bright sun a blarin' outside? Well, it was DARK. Pitch dark. Ok, so, my other partner in crime goes to the car to get my flashlight that I always keep in the car in case of an emergency. Batteries dead. (and its a maglite people!) Ok, down the attic stairs to find an alternative flashlight. In the end and long story short, I found a flashlite, found the stroller, got it to fit in the car and we were off. But for a while, I really felt like Jack Tripper on Three's Company. Something always going wrong???
Anyway, we were off... We had lunch with my dad before going to get dessert. And we were able to catch what we think was one of the last tours of the day.Brenna really did like her hat. Really, she did! Even long after when we got home, she still wanted to put it on.
No cameras allowed while touring the facility. Its big top secret stuff! But after the tour was over, we got to the best part - the free ice cream!!! Yum!!! Here's Brenna signing "more" to anyone who would share with her. Haha! So, we left the little creamery and headed back home. But we felt like we did all that work packing in all those kids and gear that we shouldn't just go home... So we headed to the mall playground once we got back into town to let the kids play some more. I know, I know.... Ewwww! Yuck! Grosssss! The mall playground. Infested with germs and bacteria and lots of lovely childhood illnesses. But, oh well. The kids had fun and we bathed them in hand sanitizer when we left. Brenna loved the little log tunnels. But she kept trying to stand up and walk through them... She isn't quite that short! And I'll end with a cute picture of the two little ones. How hard is it to get two toddlers BOTH looking at the camera and BOTH smiling?! Go ahead...say it. I'm awesome. :-)
