T minus one month

Brenna is 11 mos old today. Only one month till she turns a whole year old. I just cannot believe it.

She is such an angel, really she is. She is so much fun, she makes us laugh and she is a spark in our day. She has the silliest faces and expressions....we constantly say, "she is so funny!"
She weighs about 18lbs 4oz now...about. Not sure on the length. She is crawling around EVERYWHERE now. It's insane how fast she is. She always seems to make a beeline for the kitchen - lots of great fun things in there. You know, the roomba lighthouse, dog bowls with food and water, lots of junk of the floor that looks tasty. Oh...and the dog door is on the way to the kitchen. It's always worth a shot to try to sneak past to get out the dog door. :P
She dances all the time, bounces up and down. There doesn't even have to be music playing! I joke that she is dancing to the music in her head. Haha! And then she thinks its real funny when she can get everyone going with her. She also has a 'fake laugh' now that she tries to impress us with.
She loves books, baths, playing in her sister's room, "This Little Piggy" game, my necklace, her sister's silliness, any and all animals, big ugly black birds in the parking lots, and mommy. She has become especially clingy to me lately. If I'm in the room, you can bet she'll be making her way towards me and pulling up on my leg. If I'm gone, though, she does just fine with others. She has become super cuddly though, and I don't mind that one bit! It's kinda nice when she lays her head down against me and does her soft little moans...so sweet.
We discovered her "problem" with finger foods is not so much the texture. We discovered, she loooooves bread. Give her a breadstick and she'll eat the whole thing - whole. Anything bread is good with her. But, give her a wet piece of fruit and she barely touches it, if at all, it's only to toss it off her plate. We think she doesn't like how it feels - wet, squishy, etc. For instance, she loves apples, but not bananas. But will eat baby food bananas. We think it's just the ooey part of it that she doesn't like - how's that for a technical term?

And now for the best news of all....for her 11-month present, I gave her a case of chicken pox. (I touched up the pics so its not so noticeable) That's right folks. Brenna now has chicken pox, thanks to my shingles. We've been to the doctor and thankfully Brooke has been vaccinated. As you probably know, not much can be done...just has to run its course. But I guess, it's not so bad. Chicken pox was a pretty common occurrence back when I was little so she'll be all the better for it right? I just hope her spots wear off before her bday!

Oh noooooooooooo! I'm so sorry! Well, they say the younger they get it, the less severe it is so hopefully they're not bothering her too much!! Hope you're all feeling better soon! The pictures are ADORABLE!
