Hey! Don't go calling the SIDS police on me. I put Brenna on her back to sleep every single time. And the immediate second I put her down, she rolls on her tummy to sleep away. What else can I do? She is pretty cute though isn't she? : )And here's Brooke before we went to take pictures with Santa. Yes, you read that right. Pictures with Santa. On November 8. LOL! The photographer does them early enough so you can get the pictures back in time to send out for Christmas if you desire. Anyway, the hard part is finding matching or coordinating outfits that early in the 'season'. But here's what it was. And Brenna had the same. I only took a picture though, b/c Brooke was so stinkin cute! With her pigtails that I had curled. I had to get a pic in case it didn't last. And of course, you know I'll be posting the Santa pics as soon as I get them. :D But for the record, it had to be the fastest photo shoot in history. Seriously. Both girls literally got up there, smiled for several pictures together and individually. We got out of our car at 11:30 on the dot and were getting back into the car before 11:45! Neither were scared, skittish, or grumpy. You'd think they were born to model or something? Quite a change from our years before.... Even the photographer commented that she had never had any so easy! YAY! I can't wait to see the pictures - I know there are some really good ones! And if you are interested, I was blogging last year at this time and here's the link to our previous Santa picture experiences - click here for the pictures! (back when the curls in her pigtails were still from that baby hair curls) And click here for the stories!

Did I mention I'm addicted to matching outfits? If you know of any support group meetings, well, keep them to yourself.
And in follow-up news, we travelled to Houston today to see some long-distance family. Now, when I say long distance, I mean long distance. Aunt Bettye and Uncle John are in Texas for my aunt's funeral from Maryland. Since they made it to Texas, we figure we can drive to Houston to see them. The last time we saw them Brooke was probably about a year old, maybe. So, here they are with both the girls. And yes, it is Aunt Bettye and Uncle John - in that order. At least she has always come first when referring to the two, at least as long as I have been alive. Not sure why - but it just sounds right. Brooke really liked seeing them, but I do believe Brenna was more infatuated with my cousin, Bobby. (who is not in this picture..sorry)
For my update - my staph infection is better. It never drained which is kinda wierd but I guess the antibiotics are working b/c the swelling is down. My black eye is almost gone and I look pretty normal, except for the bruising to the left of my eye. Brooke did get a small spot coincidentally in the corner of her eye that started as a scratch from her fingernail and ended up a bruised eye looking like she might've run into something. But we attacked it like crazy with antibiotic cream and she is all better now. Thankfully! Now, off for a hopefully uneventful week.....(crossing fingers).....
