So, Brenna is sort of on the move now a days. Not crawling so much, but 'scooching'? (if that's even a word). We put her down on the floor on her back, she almost immediately rolls to her tummy (as in the above picture) and pushes with her legs. (as in the below picture) Of course her main incentives are usually either a toy, a pacifier, or her sister, who by the way loves this game of playing. She can now make her laugh anytime and they are really interacting and really playing with each other all the time now. Siblings are great. :-)

She also tells us about everything!!! She is a little chatterbox! It is like she is carrying on little conversations. And she really tries to make us laugh I swear. There are many instances where she has learned what gets a laugh and she tries to reproduce it to get us to laugh again. That, in itself is funny. I think we're gonna have another early talker. She is constantly babbling in consonants now - Dada dada dada dada....or Baba baba baba baba....and when she gets mad at us, her lip pouts out (remember her mad face?) and she starts whining.... Nananananana....nanananana....! I tried to get a video, but no such luck this post.
Brooke is reading like crazy. As we drive down the road, she is sounding out road signs, restaraunt signs, and more. She is also enjoying lots of outside playing since the weather has been so great here lately. Yes, if you'll notice in the picture, it is November, she's wearing short sleeves and capris, and the leaves and grass are still green. :P
And in other news, I am battling yet another staph infection over my eye. So, my eye is again swollen and bruised (only one black eye this time) and is most uncomfortable. Trying to keep the kids from getting it is hard. We can't share showers, towels, or washcloths. There is lots of handwashing and sanitizing going on. I have already been to the doctor and am on antibiotics and have an antibiotic cream to apply. And any little spot that pops up on the kids (right now Brenna has about 4 mosquito bites!!! :o) gets some cream on it and gets 'treatment' from Brad, instead of me.Speaking of Brad, we are excited to have him home more often now. He's been able to take advantage of some vacation time that he would be losing if he didn't use it. So, a lot of honey-do's are getting done. And we had a spur-of-the-moment visit from his friend, Terry, who is always nice to see. Of course, now I had a death in the family (my aunt passed away) and he's already used his time. Murphy's Law right?
PS - Can you believe we are into November and getting ready for Thanksgiving? And Christmas is just right around the corner! Yikes!
