Bicycles, Bumbos, and VBS

Just pictures this time!

First Brooke got a 'new' bicycle. Really, its an old one that someone gave us after her child outgrew it. But it looks basically new! And what could be better than a Princess bike?! Oh...and you'll see one pic of Brooke working in the yard. Yes, she now blows leaves for us - and thinks its fun!

She also started Vacation Bible School on Sunday and is having a good time. She went last year and had a good time and this year she is a much more willing participant with all the activities. Her and her 'boyfriend' Samuel even had a little 'first date' on the gazebo. :) It was so cute. He's only a couple months older than her but is quite a lot bigger. He is also very protective of her (they've known ea other since 6 mos old from church AND Kindermusik) so when another little boy pulled her shirt, Samuel took him down. Seriously. How sweet of him to look out after her. Anyway, here's some pics from VBS so far. It runs through this week so hopefully I'll get some more pictures later.

And Brenna in her Bumbo seat. We plopped her in it for the first time the other day and she held her own pretty well. She already has great head control and *can* sit there for however long. Notice I said, 'can'. She's not always willing to sit there longer than 10-15 min. But I'll take what I can get. She's not much on tummy time. Most babies fuss....she just goes to sleep. So we figure the Bumbo gives her time to excercise her neck muscles somewhat that she may not be getting during tummy time. One quick update on Brenna - she slept thru the night last night!!! WOO HOO!!! I mean...REALLY slept through the night. I fed her at 9:30, we put her in her bassinet at 10 and *I* woke up to feed her at 6:15am!!! She was starting to rustle around, but I woke up first really needing to feed her if you know what I mean. ;) Anyway, I can't believe it! Just under 2 mos and she slept all the way through. And not kinda - like where we call it sleeping through and really she's only sleeping 4-5 hrs or something. I mean...a GOOD 8 hrs. It was nice! Now, if only I had gone to bed at 10 to get that same 8 hrs...
And the other few pics are just some cute ones. I mean...they're all cute, what when you have such a great model and everything, but these are some of our favorites.

Oh...and I almost forgot. We took a trip (like a really short trip...about a mile to be exact :P ) to a park the other day. We went and fed the ducks, saw the turtles, played on the playground and just had a nice family evening. I couldn't get over the size of the turtles in the pond! They were HUGE!
