Softball, softball, softball.....

So sorry.  Trying to catch back up.  I haven't totally given up on this blog...yet.  Life is just so crazy busy and this takes A LOT of time that I don't have really.  So I have a few now, I'll try to catch up some and hopefully I won't let it get away from me again.  *fingers crossed?*

So, softball is pretty much taking over.  Brooke is heavily involved, first with Rec League play, then now on to tournament team play.  She is on a competitive travel team and at least 2 weekends a month, we've been out of town with softball tournaments.  Its been crazy, fun, and exciting.

Her Rec League team did well this season and so I'll start there.  She was on the Cougars, again.  And they were one of the better teams.  She always plays pitcher position (player pitch comes up in the next age level).  Here's some pictures....

This was definitely her season to shine.  She was the oldest on her team, her team had a great bunch of players, and she was playing (well) in the infield all the time.  She was a rockstar!

Meanwhile, Brenna also had her Rec League season under way.  She was on the youngest, most inexperienced team.  However, that made her a rockstar on her team!  She was the one getting the outs, also playing pitcher position a lot.  She was the one hitting the ball hard through the infield and scoring runs.  Her team was the Lightning Bugs.  And the day before her first game (and picture day) she got hit in the eye with a softball (of course) and coincidentally got the worst black eye.  Its still (3 months later) a little visible.  Poor girl.  But Daddy thinks she looks tough.  :/  Anyway, here's some pics from her season...(first pic is both girls right before Opening Ceremonies)...

Both girls got their well deserved trophies at the end of season...

So, it was a fun season with Rec League, but Rec League is short lived.  And that's where tournament team comes in.  Next post will be all about Blaze Softball!
