Anyway, so this is behind. And all this took place on his ACTUAL birthday...this past Monday. :)
First, he stayed home from work a little to help w back to school stuff. We couldn't let him go off to work without singing to him! So a makeshift ceremonious candle and song...
Then before he got home from work, the girls made him cards. I have to share them. :)
Brenna did all her own writing. I didn't help her w spelling or anything! I was impressed!!!
Brooke, of course, also did hers on her own. I was more impressed with her drawing. She literally did this in less than 5 minutes. She's becoming quite the artist! :-)
Then, on to the presents...
Buttermilk pie!
And, a new water cooler/dispenser. Ours went out a while back and he's missed having it! This one is pretty cool - bottom load (so no ugly jug on the top, plus no breaking your back lifting it and trying to flip it over while not making a mess!)...
Then, we put the candles on the pie and sung to him, letting him TRY to blow out the candles. No, they weren't 'trick' candles, but they were the sparkler kind? And apparently they are REALLY hard to blow out. They kept relighting! Brenna thought it was hilarious. LOL
After all the fun at home, we headed to bible study where they had made him a chocolate cake, chocolate icing and showered him with more gifts. However, someone (ahem!) got into the cake before we got there..... :P
All in all I think (I hope?) he had a great day. He deserves it! Love you Brad! Happy Birthday!!!! :-)
