Bored Bucket: Sand Art and Handwriting

We did another bored bucket activity recently.  First up...sand art.  I had bought these cheap little kits at the dollar store.  Came with the sand and everything.  You pull the stickers off the parts you want to cover w sand, cover, then dust, the repeat with another color/sticker.  It made a complete mess, was total fun for the kids, and not so hard for me to deal with either with my OCD clean freak self.  Ha!

Brenna's finished work of art:

And Brooke's finished pieces:

Afterwards, we did another activity, handwriting practice...  which, honestly... everyone needs to do now and then!  ;)

And apparently, the girls must've really liked the sand art, because they asked Sammy to do it again when she was watching them one day.  Of course, by then, all that was left was the leftover sand and no templates.  So they made their own!
