Brooke had her piano recital last weekend. She played her piece wonderfully (of course!). And I got it on video (of course!). We did finally get a replacement camera, so we were able to video it (we scored a lightening deal on Amazon a couple of weeks ago...yippee!). Anyway, back to the subject. Here's the video of her playing Sugar Cookies.
And here's a pic of her and her teacher, Mrs Chris, afterwards. It was fun to listen to all her students to see what a remarkable teacher she really is. There are some really fantastic pianists she's creating. Can't wait to see Brooke continue to learn from her!
Next up in piano land, she has Guild in two weeks! Eeek! She has to have her 7 songs memorized, play them well (with dynamics, etc)...be able to play any of the 8 scales that she is required to know on request, and transpose a piece of music. All for a judge. Again, I reiterate. Eek! I'm nervous for her, but I'm sure she'll do great. :)
