Its just awesome the strides the girls are making with swimming. At one week in the second round, they have Brenna nearly swimming on her own. She's doing all the right movements and will put her face in to do it and everything...they just haven't let go of her yet. They also have her going under, diving for rings, and she is retrieving them. And loving it! They also took her underwater picture the other night. It was so great that the teacher actually got out of the water, came over and showed me a preview of it on her camera. I can't wait to get a copy and share it, because it is sooo cute!
With Brooke, they are working on her backstroke more, which she seems to only need to improve her endurance with. She, again, has a natural look to her stroke. Way better than I would look doing it! And they are also working with her learning to breathe more and gain endurance to swim longer distances. She is now swimming across the pool easily, working on coming up for air to the side. And also, building up her confidence is key for Brooke too. Most things with swimming she CAN do, but doesn't think she can do it. ;)
Here's Brenna going down the slide...
And Brooke, again, with all the commentary going along of people exclaiming how good she is and needs to be on swim team, etc etc... I try to not brag too much here, but I taped this video and was sure to show Brooke. She doesn't think she is that good and never hears the people brag on her.
