Happy Easter!!!

I love Easter. Like, Love. Love...LOVE. I didn't always have such the passion for Easter. It kinda grew on me. I mean, I liked it...but it didn't compare to Christmas. Then, I had my first beautiful daughter ON Easter (of course, Easter isn't always on the same day every year). And then Easter became really special. The next year, Easter fell on her baptism birthday. Cool, eh? Not to mention God giving us His only Son...the suffering Jesus went through for us...I mean, its hard to imagine really. I cry when I stub my toe. He was nailed to a cross. For me. And you. Amazing!

Anyway, so Easter holds a special place in my heart. My house is full of bunnies and eggs and crosses and spring flowers and such. Love it!

This year, Easter is a little extra crazy. You know...cuz it fell only 3 days after Brenna got her cast off. (which, btw she is walking now...still limping, or rather, walking peg-legged, but walking nonetheless) Easter falls 2 days before her birthday and a week before her bday party! Craziness I tell you.

And then in the midst of all that, I had to go and get sick on everyone. So much so, Brad had to take off work for 2 days to care for the kids and take them around where they needed to be and to take care of me. And he NEVER takes off when I'm sick. Ok, maybe not "never", but very rarely anyway. So it was pretty bad. I started running fever Monday afternoon, and knew it was bad by Tuesday morning. To the point, that I called first thing and got a dr's appt (and again, THIS is a rarity...I never go to the dr! But I was pretty sure I knew I had some sort of infection. could just tell). Sure enough, they did a urine test and said I had a "roaring" bladder infection. Which I knew. I mean, didn't know for sure...but I 'knew'. So she gave me a rocephin shot right then and there and sent me on my way with a script for antibiotics. The next day I wasn't any better. I was different. Its unknown if I got sick (tummy sick) from the antibiotics (which doesn't happen to me normally?) or having a double dose of the shot and the oral meds together (still weird) or from a (much worse) kidney infection (which made more sense, with my issues with kidney stones - that are still all there for the most part) or from a different virus unrelated. Which ever which way...I was sick. Could not move much. I would've liked to even have been working on pictures, but I couldn't get from the couch or the bed. It was awful. Then more (different kind...I'll spare the details) tummy troubles. To where I couldn't leave the bathroom for days and nights on end! I seriously got about 3 hrs sleep each day/night. Awful, I tell you. I called in to the dr, they gave me another script for a stronger antibiotic. Which then...well it was a catch 22. Either it would make me sicker (if they antibiotics were the culprit) or it would make me better (if it was kidney infection). Slowly but surely, by Saturday, I was a tiny bit better (I could move off the couch, but still wasn't eating much..I had developed this food aversion too, because of how sick I had gotten anytime I ate ANYthing). And by today, I am feeling even better. Not back to normal or even close, but good enough. Now, on to my busy busy week...! :)

Anyway, despite all this, we were able to get out today and have a good Easter day. The girls got lots of treats and candy and loving.

First, here's a picture from LAST week...before Palm Sunday service, where they sung in church. The memory card that that video is on decided to freeze up, so its stuck for now. All you get is this picture of them looking as beautiful as ever, which happened to be taken with my other camera!

And here's some pictures from their Easter party at school on Thursday (side note - this was before Brenna got her cast off), where they get to throw confetti eggs....

And finally here's pictures from today!

First the girls building their nests before going to the church egg hunt...

Off to church...

Egg hunt before church, where they got TONS of candy (I'd venture to say a year's supply!)...

Then, getting home to discover what the Easter bunny had left at home for them!

And more eggs..everywhere! Including confetti eggs!

Brooke was so impressed the Easter bunny "wrote" Brenna's name on the clubhouse for her birthday coming up! :)

Then we went and had a great lunch at the Country Club with family (a small lunch for me and my still recovering tummy). Brooke had my camera and took a TON of pictures, but here's one for me to share...
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter holiday!

Such pretty girls! I know you're glad to be rid of that cast! Hoping you're feeling better really soon and that this week is much more laid back than the last!
