Brooke has missed a lot of her old school friends since school let out in April. So this past week, we set up a playdate with a few of them at the splashpad.
Here are her and Brenna sitting in the puddles (normally there's not puddles...must've had a drainage problem this day?)...

And we even got to have a picnic lunch with Ms Lydia! Oh, what a treat for MY girls. Brenna would NOT leave her alone. I think she is more ready for school than Brooke. :)
Then we headed over to the playground next door to get nice and dried off before heading home.
Also, over the weekend, Brooke got to go on a sleepover to her BFF's house. I don't have any pictures of that big event (obviously. I wasn't there!), but she had a blast, cried when it was time to leave and all the way home, and was SUPER tired afterwards. All a good sign of a successful sleepover! :)
In the meantime, Brenna was home alone with us and very sad missing her sister. So, on Saturday morning, she got to do some cooking with Daddy.
Now, I love this next picture. Not only because she is smiling, but because this is her "Brooke smile". When she smiles like this, she reminds me sooo much of Brooke. And I finally caught it on camera to share!
