Happy 4th of July!

So, on Saturday (the 3rd), we went to a 4th of July party. It was supposed to be coined a 'family' party. But I ended up running into my Middle School band director and her daughter!! The woman that half raised me when I was that age. She had a big part in my life when I was child and helped shaped me into the music lover that I am. She's a truly special woman and I was so surprised (pleasantly!!) to get to see her after so long. Come to find out we are sorta semi related....distantly through marriage. ;) I only wish I had thought to take a picture with her! But we were just way too busy catching up. :)

Anyway, so the party was a lot of fun.

Here's a pic of Brenna chowing down on some of THE best BBQ...seriously. He does this for a living. Its good. :)) Here's a link to his website. He travels around everywhere providing this yummy BBQ (along with any other help he can provide) to people in need or in emergency...like with Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti and many many other areas. Its truly a great foundation. And even better BBQ!!!

Isn't the house the most adorable, beautiful home you've seen? You should see the inside! Wow. And so festive!!!

Then, Sunday, we woke up to a fun-filled day of birthday parties, swimming at Aerofit, and capping it off with a fireworks show in the midst of friends.

It was a great weekend. I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July today celebrating our country's freedoms! :)
