We went swimming yesterday and came around the corner as we were coming home and crossing the street was this humongous snake! As we stopped (so of course I could snag a picture! :P ), he climbed right up the tree in the front of our yard. Ewww! Yuck.
We shooed the kids inside and Brad had to cut down a limb to get it down.
Here's how big he really was...
We live in the middle of town smack dab in an older neighborhood, so we don't see snakes this size very often. In the 6 years we've lived here, we've maybe come across 2-4 snakes total and those were all tiny little grass snakes or something. Nothing like this. Ewww..... (again).

Remember how I told you the pool is always either empty completely or very sparse? The above picture is testament to that. We often have the pool all to ourselves...literally. That's Brad and Brooke way in the deep end and Brooke by the steps.
