We were so excited to wake up Saturday morning to 2 butterflies on the side of the habitat! One had completely come out of its cocoon and the other was still latched onto it a little bit, but quickly fluttered away.
Now, this morning when we woke up, we have one more that's "hatched" (for lack of a better word), leaving only 2 left in their cocoons (chrysalids). We stuck a fresh cut flower inside squirted with some sugar water (per the feeding instructions). They don't move around a lot, but its so neat to see such pretty butterflies after starting with tiny little larvae the size of an eraser. :)
