Cookies for Santa

I've spent my morning in the kitchen, baking cookies for Santa, two batches of bread pudding, with Brooke making Christmas Rice Krispie treats, and preparing a salad. Whew! I'm tired. But done with it all...till tomorrow anyway. ;-) So, anyways, after the cookies were baked, the girls got to help decorate them with what they thought Santa would like!

Brooke takes it very seriously...

I don't know, Brenna looks pretty serious too, huh?
Eh, not too serious. She was more excited to get to taste test a few to make sure they were good enough for the big guy. ;-)

And here's the finished products! Don't they look tasty? :-)
So, after naps today, we're off to Christmas Eve candlelight service, then to Sandie's/Muna's for a dinner and more Christmas fun. Then tonight, we get to track Santa! Be sure to check out Norad to track Santa for yourself! We have one very excited little girl over here who has been counting down the days and now knows we are on the very very last night and tomorrow Christmas will be here!!! Our favorite little elf, Chris, is spending his last day on our mantle just above the fireplace. We think he picked that spot so Santa doesn't forget to take him back with him tonight to the North Pole till next year. And after watching a show about how elves travel with Santa to help prepare the house for his arrival, we think he might be one of the "prep and landing" elves too! We've had fun with this little guy and can't wait to see him again next year!

I hope everyone will enjoy their family and fun times this Christmas. And all the while, remembering the reason for the season. Merry Christmas!
