Saturday night, we went to Christmas in the Park. Its a fun deal where a local park puts up thousands of lights throughout their walking trail. Its totally free to drive through nightly, but on weekend nights, they offer free live entertainment (Brooke's dance studio had some performances), free hayrides through the lights, free hot chocolate and cookies, and visits with Santa plus a lot of characters walking around in costume. Its a lot of fun. Super crowded as you can imagine, but always fun. And this year, it was cooooooooold! Bitterly cold. But we bundled up and braved the chilliness for some holiday fun.
Here's the girls waiting in the rather short line for the hayrides...

Brooke and I on the hayride tour...

And, oh. my. gosh. Brooke actually WANTED to see this kangaroo guy and wanted to hug him and take a picture with him. HUGE deal for her. She is always scared of the character dress up people, so I was astonished when she said she wanted to go see him! I still didn't think she'd go through with it, but she did, loved it, loved him, and I was ready with my camera of course!

One attempt at a family pic...

Brooke is the elf, Brenna is Santa...

The girls outside the bldg window where Santa was...

And I love this picture...!

As well as this one...

Free cookies and cocoa...

We found Trinity there!...

And a feeble attempt at a picture with the babies...

Another family pic...
