Fun in the Fall

Fall has officially begun. Though I'm not sure it quite feels Fall-ish yet. We had a couple days where the temps stayed out of the 90's...does that qualify? I find it amusing that people here are walking around in pants, long sleeves, and coats when its still in the 70's. Shows what acclamation will do. Everyone's sooo acclamated to 100+ degree temps that 74 feels "cold".

Anyways, I'm still sporting my summer wear. I'll be glad when it starts to really get cooler on a more permanent basis. In the meantime, we spent one morning this past weekend cleaning up the garden, the backyard, the deck, and back porch. In one of those summer storms we had, our huge glass-top patio table blew up (with attached umbrella) and broke in a billion pieces (literally!), so we had the remnants still laying around wondering what to do with a topless table. Hmm...wonder if they make topless videos? Haha.

Back to the point...so while Brad was spraying off the back deck/porch, the girls started to get sprayed. And sprayed...and sprayed some more. Pretty soon, it was just about playing in the water hose. Yes, they were fully clothed, but who cares. They had a blast! All dried off, back inside, watching a quick TV show...
And here's Brooke, following in her mama's footsteps. Taking pics...that's my girl! Here she is doing the Wii Fit. She LOVES doing "yoda" (or better known as yoga). She's quite good at it.
Here's video of her doing some work on the Wii Fit. I love how she gets tired of waiting.."Ok, I'm not doing that again." And then complains, "ONE STAR?!?!"

And here she is 'cheating' on the Wii Fit (running). Yes, she is supposed to be running, but my smart girl figured out she doesn't have to run, but just shake the remote up and down to get it to *think* she is running. Ashamed? Or proud she figured it out?

And on another occassion, the girls sharing yogurt...Please take note in the background, our NEW dining table. Well new to us anyway. It was Muna's table, seats 6 comfortably, has a leaf to seat 8 and then another hand-made leaf (hand-made by Rex, of course) to seat even more. We are beyond thrilled to have a new, bigger, nicer table that will accomodate our family. It's nice to have room and spread out! And its nice if we ever have real company too! So, thanks to Muna again! We love it! And the table/chairs definitely have found a great home with us.
Pay close attention to the end...Brooke says, 'it's dripping', I keep video-ing and she looks at me with her frantic look, like, 'mom...need a napkin? like now?' Haha..

And here's a video of a new version of how to play Elefun. If you've never played..the appropriate way is to put all the paper butterflies in, attach the elephant's 'trunk', turn it on and use your nets to catch butterflies as they fly out. Leave it to my husband to create a new way to play...

LOL Brenna's reaction in that last video is priceless!!!! I'm pretty sure Sierra has made that same comment at the Fit..."Only ONE star?!? You gotta be jokin' guys!" I must say though she has the top score on tight rope walking and we can't beat her!!! She's got a whole new messed up technique that has nothing to do with being balanced LOL
