She does walk a few steps now here or there (as seen in previous video), but she hasn't just taken off toodling around the house yet. And she definitely by no means does it in front of anyone else. She is soooo brave, yet sooo shy all at the same time.
She is a crazy signing baby! I think I mentioned that a couple times she signed 'poop', then went poop within 20 seconds. Now, she does it all. the. time. I guess I should just go plop her on the potty huh? I don't know. She says a few words and she seems to be adding new ones in slowly. Not to mention her words she does have are getting clearer. Before, "Da-eeee" was Daddy. Now it's more like "Da-deeeee!" She says "Mama" only when she wants me now. She says "Hi" appropriately and unprompted - as in when she sees a new baby (notice I said baby...she still won't really talk to new adults). I should also mention she signs at appropriate times as well - as in "thank you" and "please" and such....not just when prompted. If someone hands her a book, she signs "thank you". Vice versa if she hands you a book, she signs "thank you" (as in...you are supposed to say thank you mom!). She says Bailey (the dog) and signs dog for Barkley (to differentiate). She says "Uh-oh", but we joke it sounds more like Scooby Doo saying "Ruh-Ro". :P And now she'll say "Ooooo" for a Cheerio and will say "moo" for a cow and will also howl like a wolf (lovely right? yea, guess who taught her that one!). And a lot of times, she will attempt a word lots more frequently than before.
She eats like all get out and will try anything we hand her. Haven't found much she DOESN'T like actually. She LOVES bananas and crackers. Not necessarily the combination, but independently of each other. A cracker is better than ice cream to her! We're trying to figure out the nap scenario. It seems like lately, if she naps in the morning, she won't nap as well in the afternoon, so we've been just doing one nap a day (in the afternoon) for a couple hrs. However, I have a feeling when school (for Brooke) starts back up and she's having to wake up at 7:30/7:45 again, she might want that morning nap back again. Here lately she's been sleeping till 8:30-9. So it might make a big difference. We'll see.
She loves to brush her hair, brush her teeth, and having her toenails painted. Another girly-girl? We'll see I guess. I think she might have a bit more tom-boy in her than Brooke, but only time will tell. She loves Barkley. Bailey too. But she really likes Barkley - she likes to have him mouth her hand. Thankfully he is a gentle giant with her. :-) She loves books and will want you to read them over and over and over again. She loves her babies too and loves to sit on (and crawl over) her couch all the time. She will sit still a tad bit longer now for a TV show, but still nothing like Brooke did/would. She does like having a DVD player in the car now. I guess cuz there's nothing else to do. We put her one back there for a trip this past week to hopefully help with the drive and it did!
She's still super funny and super daring. Just today at the doctor, she climbed on top of the stool and was trying to get onto the table herself. Ending up falling just as the doctor walked in. Yea....um...Dr Matthews, can you check out that bump on her head while we're here?" Haha. She does have quite the temper though and when she gets frustrated, she will hit. Often. She has still only bitten once and now sometimes, again..when frustrated, she will bite herself. Again, and also, she is getting quite a few new teeth I think so I'm sure that's hurting her as well.
We were officially in the clear for needing no chicken pox vaccine - ever. I thought she might still receive it as a 'just in case' measure, but nope. He wrote on her shot record - 'officially diagnosed with virus at 12 mos'. So no need for that one! She did however get two more shots which were not so fun. Fortunately, for Brooke, she did good enough to get a lollipop. Fortunately for Brooke b/c there is no way I am giving my 15mo old a sucker. Come on people! Ice cream and cake maybe. But a lollipop?
That's about it. I'll leave you with a couple of my favorite most recent pictures. First, these next two tell a story. Brad was outside mowing the backyard the other day. So, Brenna goes to the doggie door, holds it up and begins calling him (as if he could hear her over the mower)...Then he walks in and straight through to the garage. She follows in hot pursuit, but doesn't quite make it in time. Still trying to get to him though. The girl loves her Daddy! And here's a couple more of her playing at the Children's Museum...

Adorable and hilarious update, I love how you write! :) I'm so relieved Milo's not the only one with a temper. Dang, man! When did these people develop minds and wills of their own? What happened to our little babies! :) Happy 15 mths Brenna!
