We took our wagon and my friend's double stroller, so we had convenient modes of transportation for all four of the kiddos! Everywhere we went, everyone assumed Brenna and Austin were twins? Even though they really look nothing alike...they are just so close in age I guess people assume. Oh, and trust me, Brenna and Austin left those sunglasses on for all of 2 seconds!Ladybugs, Trinity and Brooke...Ladybug sisters, Brooke and Brenna...um, or maybe Brenna's not so keen on the idea of being a ladybug?....Posing for a pic by the teepees...The girls goofing off at our lunch break...Brooke posing in front of the giraffes...The buffalo were definitely a hit too...esp this 'baby' one I caught in the background of this picture. But, actually, Brenna was the one most excited to see them. She was doing her sign for "I want it" the whole time and was soo excited, happy to see them. It was too cute. Then, the second half of our zoo excursion, we switched the big kids ride for the little kids ride. Brooke and Trinity were in the stroller, while Brenna and Austin were living large in the wagon. I think they liked riding in the wagon together more than they liked the zoo!"Hey! What are YOU doing back there?"...Again, the hats maybe lasted 5 seconds on their heads? It was a beautiful day for the zoo, but the sun was out and I was *trying* to keep their little heads from getting sunburned. The hats weren't staying on (thanks to hands that kept pulling them off) but we managed to roll them around in the shade enough to keep them well protected.
Amazingly, all four kids slept on the way home...for most of the ride home anyway. They were all exhausted! It was a fun little trip and we were glad to see Shannon and spend the day with friends on such a beautiful day!
