After baking and napping today, we got all dressed up for church and after the candlelight service, we headed over to Sammy's for a Christmas Eve dinner and gifts with Brad's immediate family - Muna, Bridwell, Sammy, and Tara. So, another set of family pics with us all dressed up...
Then, off to church for a beautiful candlelight service. Brooke really enjoyed it this year since she could sing along to most of the Christmas carols! Here's Brad and the girls before the service began...
And, after church, we headed out to Sammy's for some good eating and to exchange presents. As always I think the grandchildren got just a wee bit spoiled. :-)
Brooke and Brenna both got a ton of cute cute clothes from Hanna Anderson (all matching outfits of course!) as well as lots of other toys and games and fun stuff!
Brooke made sure that all of Brenna's gifts were appropriate for her. She kept telling everyone - "but that stuffed animal has hard eyes and she might chew on it and choke!" Such a motherly figure already!
Fortunately for them, Santa had JUST left Sammy's house and had filled stockings for them up there!

And giving lots of hugs and kisses to Muna...
After all the presents were opened and all the food and desserts were eaten, we headed home. We were sure to be on the lookout for Santa and his sleigh on our way home. Particularly looking for Rudolph's nose! When we got home, Brooke laid out cookies and milk for Santa. And after watching the last night of our Family Time with Santa DVD (we've been watching ea night for the last 12 nights!), Santa told us that his reindeer appreciate it if we leave carrots for a little snack for them. Fortunately for us, we did have some fresh carrots on hand, so Brooke made a dash to the kitchen to be sure to leave some carrots for the reindeer as well. She kept asking, "Do you think that's enough?"
