The past week

Brenna is loving the solid foods......well....until today. Today when we decided to forego the rice cereal and give her carrots. Yea, not a fan so much. Hehe... Anyway, maybe just b/c it's something different and new, but regardless, she wasn't impressed. So we fed her half a jar and then gave her some of her rice cereal. Hopefully it just a getting used to it phase. : )

She also got a new (used) toy. A jumperoo that hangs in a doorway. This, as opposed to the carrots, she is a fan of. Should've guessed it, since Brooke didn't like it much that Brenna would love it. She does.

And Brooke had her first at-home Mommy haircut. I just tried to cut it straight across. Do you know how HARD that is when the child has straight flat hair - to make it perfectly even? Well, I always gripe when I pay $7 for the haircut and it's uneven (and now I'm getting too cheap). Now I see why it's so hard. Anyway, it's done - good or bad. It's not too bad, but me, the perfectionist is finding flaws in my work.

And we had a loaner car for a couple days while ours was getting worked on (the navigation system was messing up and a light was out - still under warranty). So, at some point, I told Brooke we had to go pick up our car. The conversation went as follows...

Brooke: Mommy, where are we going?
Mommy: We're going to pick up our car.

Brooke: MomMY (empasis on the MEE)!!! We can't do THAT!

Mommy: (confused) Why?
Brooke: Our car is too heavy!
