Holiday happenings

We've spent the last couple days very busy in the evenings. This first group of pictures we went to one local park, where they had "Holiday Magic". It was complete with Santa, crafts, games, inflatable bouncers, cookies, entertainment, giveaways, and a hill of snow (hey...remember we're in Texas and get excited over the stuff). All of the activities were free so of course, it was waaaay crowded and most of the things were for older kids, but Brooke did get some enjoyment out of the evening.

Now, the next evening (last night) we went to yet another local park that celebrates "Christmas in the Park" every year. (It is kinda nice sometimes to live in a town with 'sister cities') They offered Santa pictures, hot chocolate and cookies, live entertainment, and hayrides through the park to look at the light display. Again, all free and we had a great time. We went with family - Brooke's cousin, Chad and the rest of the clan. And Brooke had such a great time. Her and Chad always do have a splendid time together. We really enjoyed this much better since it wasn't as crowded (still trying to figure that one out) and the hayride was nice. Brooke also liked watching the dance studio perform. Then in between shows, the kids even got to go dance themselves up on stage to the background holiday music. And we all know how much Brooke likes to dance!
