Back to School......!

...well, sort of. This year I will be teaching at Brooke's preschool and am soooo excited!But right now while we are having our inservice days, she is able to go with me and stay with the childcare they provide for the staff. So she really IS back at HER school, just not yet in her classroom with her teacher. We have 'Meet the Teacher' next week and school starts the following week. Anyway, so when we start school officially, I won't be able to take pictures and do all that fun first-day-of-school stuff. So, I figured I would go ahead and get some pictures of her going to school now with her little Minnie Mouse backpack on. THe first time I put it on, she thought she had to be a little dramatic about how heavy it was ....(rolleyes). Of course, it wasn't too heavy. She was just being a bit of a drama queen. But anyway, she loves going to 'school' even though she doesn't quite realize she isn't in school yet. I think she recognizes the place and rooms, etc from last year and was quite comfortable even the first day. As for me, I never knew how much work preschool would be! We've been having workshops and getting our classrooms and lesson plans ready. Also, going over the class roster, personalized the room and getting ready for 'Meet the Teacher' next week. It's a load of fun and I am so blessed to be in the perfect job! Brooke will be in the 'Older 2's' class and I will be teaching the 'Younger 2's' class, which coincidentally are right next door to each other. It will be nice, but I really probably won't see her till the end of the day. I'm excited to start the school year and to see how I do at this whole teaching thing. Wish me luck!
