Today is Palm Sunday and in honor and celebration of the occassion, the Sunday School class at our church got to once again bless us with their singing, this time with a beautiful rendition of "Hosanna". Brooke is getting quite good at these occassions. She only threw a fit at the first practice....before she knew what to expect. As you can tell from the video, she did really well. They first walked in at the beginning of the service, waving their palm branches, then lined up by themselves to sing "Hosanna". And this time, we had to be there quite early (7:30am!!!) so she could sing at both the early and the late service. This first clip is from the early service.
Then at which point, we attended the early service and Sunday School following. We stayed so she could sing at the late service as well. That is where the 'humor' label of this post comes in. The little boy next to her gets a bit carried away with his palm branch and swats Brooke with it in the beginning of the song. I thought we were headed for a meltdown, but instead...she turns and swats him back. Noticing his reaction (being shocked - after all, sweet little Brooke????), she thought it was funny, so she does it again and laughs. He then grabs her palm branch, breaks it and the 'fight' has to be broken up by an older classmate in the back. Ahhh....you just never know what you're going to get with 2/3 yr olds. Enjoy!
(this first clip is them walking in waving their palm branches, where you can see the beginnings of the 'fight' - LOL )
(then the clip of them singing...er....or maybe brawling...)
