Just as basketball is coming to an end, softball is about to begin! Brooke had softball evaluations this past week and is excited to see who her coach is and what team she will be on. She has lots of people she knows this year playing and is feeling more confident. The little bit of throwing the ball and stuff we did before evals, she was hurling them at me! And batting...much better! Hitting at least 3 out of every 5 pitches. Not bad....
Meanwhile, we took the jump and went ahead and signed Brenna up this year. She really wants to play and is technically supposed to be 5 as of Jan1. (she'll turn 5 at the end of April..end of softball season) But...eh...they'll take our money I'm sure. I just hope she's not in over her head and ends up on a team with all 'big' kids. Hopefully most of the girls on her team will be 5 instead of big 6 yr olds (Its 6 and under in her league) She did not have to go to evals (for the 6U team) but we did outfit her with Brooke's old glove and bat and got her her own pair of cleats (Brooke's old ones are still too big). She was sooooooo in love with her new cleats, she literally wanted to wear them everywhere - even to bed.
