Our Night before Christmas

Before I share our Christmas day fun, here's what happened Christmas Eve!

We slept in (have I mentioned I had 4 days off work in a row?!?!  Yay!), went to iHop for breakfast, and did a tiny bit of shopping (not really...we just stopped and got a bday cake for Jesus).  We spent some time at home for a while, baking cookies for Santa, etc.  Then we let the girls open up presents from Birdie and Nana.

Needless to say the girls loved their presents (as obvious by their reactions!).  We allowed for some down time to play with the new stuff.  Then got ready for church and took our annual in-front-of-the-tree Christmas picture.  With some nice outtakes too.  :P

All to get the final picture I posted earlier today that I'll share again...

And one w the girls alone...

Then off to church for a nice candlelight service (which is always nice.  gives you the 'feel-good' feeling of Christmas).  We tracked Santa on our way home, thought we saw him a couple of times, and left out milk and cookies for him when we got home.

It was the easiest we ever got the kids to bed I swear.  Wish every night was that easy.  They were telling US to go to bed and were zonked out very quickly in prep for the excitement that Christmas morning was sure to bring.  :)
