Brenna's schoolwork

Every week at school, we see sooo much stuff Brenna brings home or things hanging on the walls at her school that they've done.  I honestly don't know how they get all this done is such short amounts of time!  Anyway, I just had to share some stuff today...

They made a brick wall and a Humpty Dumpty for each kid.  Brenna is pointing to hers...

And then, this came home later...I assume its some variation of Humpty Dumpty?

Another display of all the kids' in her class handprints.  Here's Brenna's...

Brenna is holding the "H"...  ;)

They are starting work with letters.  Of course, Brenna is beyond this and is reading well and all that.  But its always good practice and builds her confidence back up.

Keeping with the "M" theme for that day... they talked about magnets and figured out what things are magnetized and what is not...

A self portrait?

Finishing a pattern...

Making their own number line.  She had to cut out the numbers, then glue them on in the right order/place...

She brought home a hand cut out with different textures on the 'fingers' for when they talked about the sense of touch. (they also did other senses other days)

Another cool little project she brought home...  a shape book.  Each page was a different shape, made out of different things!

They've talked about different colors.  WHich is great, because, yes...while Brenna knows her colors, of course, and has for some time.....  Ms Lydia was working with Brenna over the summer on reading the color names.  So reading out "yellow" and so forth.  So this emphasized that I believe!

Counting, and again cutting out the numbers to match it up....

And last but not least, after the first week of school, she came home with this super cute little book....

(side note - I think its funny that every time someone tells Brenna to write her name "on" the line, she takes it quite literally.  And writes her name ON the line.  Haha!  See the above pic--^ )

Whew!  See?!?!  I told you!  A LOT of stuff they are doing!  And they have only been in school 3 short weeks!  I'm pretty impressed.  Like I said before, they are always busy working.  Its always quiet in the room.  And most importantly her teachers genuinely LOVE her and love on her each and every day.  Not only that, but most of the kids in her class love on her and give her hugs daily!  Each day I pick her up, a different kid is giving her a hug saying 'thank you for playing with me today Brenna' or something similar.  They are all so sweet.  Couldn't ask for better.  So glad she's happy at school again!
