I have to brag a little bit. Its my blog. I can do that. But, man... is it nice to FINALLY....FINALLY!!!!....be at the point with both kids and their swimming, that we don't have to be RIGHT THERE next to them in the pool. We don't have to worry about life jackets or floaties or have a kid hanging on me every moment. We can just let them swim. I can even get out of the water myself and sit and watch if I want to. It seems like its been forever since I've been unattached to a kid at the pool (well, I guess it has been 7 years?!), but it is finally nice to be a little detached. To be able to swim myself. Or whatever. Ahhhhhhh!!! Love this milestone. Enjoying every second. :)
Don't get me wrong. I would never ever ever leave the kids unattended completely. I still watch them every second near a pool. But it is just nice to not be 'attached' at the hip to them anymore. And its so fun for them too. They are sisters. At home, its not always fun. There's sharing incidents, fights over space or time or whatever... but at the pool, they have genuine fun.... TOGETHER! I remember that feeling. Having someone to play with, having someone to go under water with, learn new 'tricks' with, wave and talk underwater to, play games with, etc. It's fun. And I love seeing the girls like this. :)
