Sunday Sermons

Now that Brooke's getting older, capable of doing more than just coloring in church...  I've had her really participating in church.  She follows along the order of the service, singing most songs, reading out most parts that the congregation does, and she's said the Lord's Prayer for a long while now.  But most recently, I've also had her start REALLY listening to the sermon too!  At our church, they do have a "children's time", where the kids come down to the front for their short little spiel on whatever the gospel reading was about and they (the Pastor sometimes or the Director of Children's Education) relay a short (very short) message about it.  But now, she is also required to listen and pay attention the Pastor's sermon each week.  And to ensure she gets something out of it, I've had her make a list of 3 things she hears in the sermon that she thinks is important.  This past week, this was her list.  :)
