Bengal Belle Camp

This year, BOTH girls got to attend Bengal Belle Camp.  Its a week long ordeal, from 8-1p every day.  The do fun dances, a craft, eat lunch there, and more!  Brenna has stood idly by and watched the last couple of years wistfully awaiting the day she could participate.  And boy, oh boy, was she excited to be there this year!  Every single moment there she was just beaming.  Sooooo happy.  To say she enjoyed herself would be a serious understatement!

1st day arriving..

1st day, after I arrived to pick her up, waiting on her turn to dance during the daily showcase of dances..

They did a fun craft each day too!

walking in together, from me dropping them off in the car lane.  Such big kids!  (and sometimes its nice to have a sister to go with you...spoken for both Brenna AND Brooke's point of view ;)....

They each got a picture taken in a Bengal Belle costume with two Belles.... (used to get it taken with the Tiger mascot but apparently too many kids were afraid of him ..haha!)...

They also each got ribbons!  (always important to a young kid, right?)....

Then, the night of the performance, in their shirts they got (and Brenna's teacher made her Little Belles all the bows!)...

Brenna, with her Big Belle (who was sooo great.  She made the bows, as I mentioned..  she also gave them each a goody bag with some trinkets and hair clips and such...and made their name tags super cute and gave them a picture of her with each one of them.  So thoughtful!  No other Big Belle did that!  Brenna loved Ms Brittany!)....

The girl next to her in the above dance was often referred to as her "best friend", though she couldn't tell me her name..haha!  So I had to get a pic of the two of the "best friends"  :)

She was definitely one of the littlest there!  We slid her in at 4 yrs old, when really I think they like them to be at least 5.  But she did soooo good.  She did ALL the dances (pretty well too, maybe a step behind each move, but still!), smiled the whole time, made sure she was in front each and every time and was often being called "so cute" by many of the parents.

Anyway, next up is pics from Brooke's dances...

When it came time during the dance to 'pick a partner', Brooke and this little girl always found each other.  Come to find out...that was Brooke's best friend from the week.  You could tell they really enjoyed each other.  Unlike Brenna's 'best friend', we do know this little girl's name...Anna Beth.  :)

(I was so proud of her because for the first time, she actually was closer to the front and TRIED to be in the front as much as she could.  Yay!)....









After the dances were over, the girls got awarded their trophies...

Needless to say, Brenna was a tad bit stoked to get a trophy of her very own!  I don't think she stopped smiling till we got home.  :-)

This is Brooke's 3rd year, 3rd trophy...so... you know, eh...  all in a days work for her!  ha!

I think it's safe to say that we will be doing this again next year.  Every single year Brooke has had SUCH a great time.  And now Brenna is loving it even more.  Both the girls were sad that it was over and can't wait till next Summer!  :)
