New Church

This past Sunday was Transition Sunday at our church. The day picked to move from our old church building to the new church building. The plan was to meet at the old location, have worship up until and just after the Children's Message, then everyone pick up their things, the hymnals and bibles in their pews and a few designated people pick up the items from the altar and transport them to the new building. Then meet over there and continue the worship service after delivering all the items in.

The old building has a lot of memories for us - that's where we joined and became members. That's where we listed to the first Pastor's sermons and got to love the people. Both the girls were baptized there. Many Christmas and Easter programs and more. Lots of memories. Including this water stain on the ceiling that Brad has been staring at every Sunday for the last 7+ years. :P

Here is the last Children's Message time in the old church. Brooke and Brenna were in that group somewhere. :P Needless to say, there were a lot of people in attendance on Transition Sunday. ;)

The girls carried a bible or hymnal book from the pews in front of us.

Brenna took her job very seriously and took precious care over her designated item. :)

Then we got to the new church...

...and she placed her items up in the rack in front of our pew.

It was the first time for us to be in the building. It was very nice, clean, fresh, new, and pretty. Of course!

They even invited our old Pastor (who happened to be our first, and the one we loved so dearly) to give the first sermon in the new church. What a special day!
