Not so long ago, we went to our church's annual swim party. We were bummed that there was no Vacation Bible School this year (with our church moving to a new place it couldn't be done), but the swim party is always fun! And a chance for the kids to experience the cool swimming pool in town. :)
Its actually getting more fun going out swimming with the girls. Brooke, I rarely even watch. I mean, I do watch her. But she swims so well I don't feel panicked to need to keep my eye on her every second. And Brenna is swimming on her own for short distances now and is so close to being able to carry on her own too!
Brooke was so excited to go across the lily pad floats for the first time on her own (I know its a bad picture, but it was at night and with my point and shoot only).
I was also impressed that she went down the BIG slide. I should've gotten a picture of the slide for anyone that doesn't live here and know, but its one of the long curving slides. Its really not super scary or anything but it looks it. And honestly, I think the only reason she did it (the first time) was because her friend, Jordyn did it (and Jordyn is often just as shy as Brooke so she trusts her). And wouldn't you know, after one trip down the slide...she probably did about 20 more, not wanting to stop. ;)
Also, I know, not a great picture. But whatever. Its documented.
And for all those that think Brenna is such an adventure seeker, here's proof to what I've been saying all along...she's not. She really isn't. She didn't want to go down a single slide while there, not even the kids/baby one. She's not the thrill seeker people think she is, really.
