After another two weeks of swimming, its come to an end. I am always so impressed with what the girls walk away with from these swimming lessons. They are done by the City and all the teachers are sooo great with them. I'm actually going to miss a couple of their teachers! :( And they've been doing it every year - we know, b/c we always see the same teachers each year. Even after they know how to swim, there is so much to expand on. Both girls did fantastic. We are still flirting with the idea of Brooke doing swim team and Brenna will probably follow right behind in her foot steps, seeing her love of the water too!
Here's Brooke perfecting her back stroke, which looks just as graceful and amazing as her regular swimming!
That's Brenna, swimming with her goggles now. :)
And there's Brenna, swimming with her face in the water. And actually, the last day of lessons, she began to swim on her own! For a few feet at a time - you know, back and forth from the teachers. I am so stinkin proud of her! She is barely THREE years old!!! And she is swimming! How awesome is that?!?! :-D
And Brenna is still the tiniest one in her class!
But does everything just as good as the big kids! In fact, if we were to do lessons another session (which I'm not sure we would), she would be moving up another level!
Here's some video of Brooke working on her backstroke...I swear she could swim forever like this! LOL
And of Brenna, from a few days ago, practicing putting her face in to swim... (and this was without goggles, she actually does much better with them, but I didn't have my camera that day)..
Here's Brenna's first time to swim on her own! She's in the back of the video on the other side of the pool wearing pink goggles. :)
And here's another, making her go a little farther this time. I apologize, but you have to look beyond (and behind) the kids right in front of the camera jumping in the pool. She's same position, on the other side of the pool, wearing pink goggles. :)
I know, I know...that's a lot of swimming talk. And a lot of videos for this post. But I can't tell you how proud of these girls I am for how well they are doing with swimming. I think its fabulous (if you can't already tell ;).
