Brooke had her Kindermusik graduation today. Her last ever Kindermusik class. She's been taking Kindermusik every single semester, excluding summer, since she was 6 mos old. And now she is done. Its a little bittersweet, of course. I'm so proud of her completing it..and doing well with it! But I'm also kinda sad this stage of her life is over. Of course, she will be 'advancing' to taking piano lessons next year with her previous Kindermusik teacher, so music lessons as a whole are not gone forever. Just a little sad to never have to take her to that same old Kindermusik building.
*sniff sniff*...
Ok. On to the graduation 'ceremony'. :)
We normally go in the last 5-10 minutes of class, but this time, she asked if we could be there 15 minutes or so prior to the end of class. First the kids played their favorite song on the recorder. As the teacher explained, they have played much harder songs with their recorders, glockenspiels and dulcimers the past year, but this was THEIR favorite. So that's what they wanted to play for us. :) (the video is about half or less of the whole song)
Then after the song was over, they all got graduation hats.
And were called up to get their certificates/diplomas one by one.
Then they all got celebration balloons.
We took one group picture of all the graduates.
And some individual pictures, too, of course.
So proud of my girl! I got her a small bouquet of flowers that she was ecstatic to get. And now, one graduation is down. Next up...kindergarten. Bring on the tissues!
