Well, at this rate, I'm not sure there is anything left (swimming-related) that Brooke has left to master. She jumps in, she swims, underwater...above water, on her back, she floats. And now the diving board! I knew she'd do it at some point...didn't know it would be this soon. I think I've mentioned before, I think she has a little fear of heights. So its not the jump that scares her, but more being up that high. Anyway, she finally did it last night! Of course, I was not prepared..and all I had was my phone. So these videos were taken with my phone only. Maybe next time I'll get some better quality videos.
Then Brenna wanted to go. Really?!?! I was shocked. But she did. She walked up and out on the diving board all by herself (she looked so little up there!!!) and jumped off without any coaxing. We missed the 'intro' but got the actual jump on video. Here's her first jump, she went twice...we didn't get the second on video:(
As soon as Brenna would pop up from the water, she would look at me, smile, and say, "I went underwater!" But she stopped at 2 jumps. Brooke wanted to keep going again and again and again. And each time, she would say, "this is the LAST time!" yea, right.
She jumped several more times, but this was the last one to Daddy. We finally had to make her quit because 1) they were closing the dive pool (it was after 8p already!) and 2) she started to get a bloody nose. But she loved it!
She's already asking to go back this morning, but we may make her wait till tomorrow since the bloody nose came back in the middle of the night. Don't want to push it. But I am so proud of my girls! :) Who would've thought that just 6 weeks ago, Brooke wouldn't even get her face wet?! Now, swimming (well!) and jumping off the diving board. Go Brooke! :)

Way to go B girls :). I was thinking of Brooke when Dean was swimming yesterday, since they are both so cautious and have both come SO far since the beginning of the summer. It's so fun! Wish we could swim with you!
I know! I miss you guys! Especially now...it'd be so fun for them to go swimming together! :)
Too cool!! I've been telling Sierra everything Brooke has learned. We couldn't get scheduled for swim lessons up here (dang girl wouldn't call us back!), but I'm hoping to put her in lessons down there if we get to go.
See Kimberly, I think y'all should come back in August or September. Then you'd have definite pool time left!! Y'all could go to Aerofit with us anytime! :))
PS - If it makes Sierra feel any better, I still tell Brooke that Sierra knows how to unbuckle her bottom carseat buckle. She STILL can't do that. Ugh.
