Stupid Blogger!

I have been trying to post daily since my last update on Sunday. But for some strange reason stupid blogger is acting all screwy with my pictures. Arg! It allows me to post them but they are humongous even though I take the time to resize them on my hosting company (which happens to be photobucket). Its like so random. If I go to post 5 pictures, 3 of them are the right size, 2 are not. Next time I try, a different 2 are the right size and another 3 are not. So frustrating!!!!

Anyways, so with this post you get only this one picture that happened to work while I was making this post. Sorry! Write a complaint to blogger.com. I know I'm about to!

The girls have finished up this week of Vacation Bible School. Its so great!!! Man, how I love Vacation Bible School. Its kid free time for the whole week for us! :) I wasn't sure how Brenna would do but she was totally fine with her class. A slight hesitation the first night was all. But even then, she went willingly with her class. Her teachers tell me she hardly talked (wow...can I get that around here???) and was kinda shy, but she participated well. They come home with all kinds of CUTE crafts. The theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch (Lifeway Baptist) so all of it was a cowboy/girl theme (hence the girls wearing their cowboy boots in the above picture). Brenna "made" a horse on a stick to ride, a cowboy hat, door hanger, a photoframe (with a class picture), a cross, a cowboy picture she colored with her picture for the face and lots of other fun things. Brooke made a photo frame with her picture in it, a stick flower in a pot that blows in the wind, a horse made of clothespins...and lots more.

Each night after it was over, they got to enjoy snacks, which the last three nights consisted of yummy ice cream. :) Yea, you know the kids were all over that one! Anyway, we're sad its over (back to our parenting nights) but the kids had a great time. It made for late nights and late bedtimes, but we always enjoy the week of Vacation Bible School in the summer. It's so worth it. Tonight they cap it off with a church swim party we'll be attending, which we're all excited for. :)

In other news, we joined a local gym. Brad's been wanting to for some time, but its so dang expensive we just can't justify the expense. He wants to be able to go up and work out at 5a (crazy isn't he??), whereas I'm not into working out in public. I'd much rather walk around our neighborhood or do some Wii Fit. But this particular gym also has a pool. A pool that is pretty much empty during the week. I hate going to pools around town because most of them aren't open when you want them to be and when they are they are so super crowded you can't even hardly move in the water. Ugh. So I've wanted the membership for pool access for some time. And its nice that there are two locations for this gym and the other has an indoor pool. So we've been going and checking it out with some free passes lately. And Brad finally sat down with the chief guy in charge up there and signed us up. It helped to have his mom there (also a member) because she has a membership already and its crazy insane what she pays for her membership. We got a killer deal. So much so I am not even supposed to say what we are paying (or rather what we are not paying for), so I guess I can be happy with that. And the kids can take classes up there too if/when they offer the kids classes (aparently they have yoga, karate and swimming for kids? Maybe more...).

So, now I'm sure on any random sunny day, you're sure to find us at the pool. Maybe one day I'll use the facilities for working out or doing a class or something productive, but for now, I'm just enjoying the pool. :P
