Pumpkin Carving

We finally got around to carving a pumpkin this year. We looked through a bunch of cool patterns with ghosts and bats and cats....but Brooke really just wanted a simple, typical "Jack-o-lantern". So it was! Easy enough!

She really got into helping this year and wanted to clean out the pumpkin and stuff (we even made roasted pumpkin seeds later that she helped clean, coat, and bake!). Brenna was kinda disgusted by it...(talk about role reversal here!)...
Brooke even helped trace the pattern with the poker thing (Sorry, don't know the technical term for the 'tool' in use)...

Brenna got bored...

The girls with the finished product!...
Inside and all lit up...
And I had to include this next picture, bc it is so typical of our everyday family life together. I might be the only one to notice, but this is picture perfect. Brenna, goofing off, making silly faces, trying to be funny. And everyone else (in this case, Brooke) watching and laughing at her, only to cause her to do it more.

Simple, put kinda pretty isn't he?
