Work Night

Tonight we had "work night" at Brooke's school. It's where the parents go and get to see what the kiddos do every day. You know, we get to see what we're paying for! Haha! Anyway, Brooke is doing great...reading and writing is going great. She really really thrives in this school, I think because its so calm and quiet and subdued. And I love how it is individualized learning. Ms Lydia also teaches them appropriate social expectations as well. This is the prime environment for Brooke. I could just rave over and over about how great this school is and how great the teacher is and how wonderful Brooke is doing there. We are definitely getting our money's worth! So, I'll stop for now and let you enjoy some pics. I apologize, in advance, for the picture quality. I can't believe I forgot my camera?!?! So I had to use my cell phone camera.

Brooke picking out a "job"...Magnets are a favorite activity of Brooke's...it's where she learns how to make a square from two triangles, etc....
Brooke has always enjoyed these flip cards. You read the item on the card, then find the object in the basket and pull it out. She still loves this and this was one of her first real 'reading' excercises. She still really enjoys it...Reading her book for Ms Lydia and me...
Here she is showing off her computer skills to Daddy. Ms Lydia tells me that Brooke really excels in computer skills. Yea...kinda figured. She was playing on my computer at age 2. She def has those skills figured out....
And of course, some writing...
And this is an extra picture that I "found" on my phone I thought I would include...b/c it's cute. This was taken at Toys R Us, Brooke and Brenna riding the train (probably taken before Christmas?)...
