Rekindled Friendships

One of Brooke's favorite friends from school left to go to another school and she has been soooo sad ever since, mentioning Kate every day at least! And swearing to me that "she really just went out of town and will be back next week." I kept trying to explain she wouldn't be back, but it was of no use.

Well, then out of the blue, Kate's mom called me saying she has been missing Brooke apparently just as much and wanted to plan a playdate. So we had said playdate today and the girls played like they were long lost friends. I was so happy for Brooke. Of course, now she swears Kate is back in town and will be back at school on Monday. But good news is, even though that isn't true, now that her mom and I have a line of communication going, we can definitely get these two friends together again - even if it is outside of school. :-)
