Tree Lighting

Already? Doesn't it seem that Christmas preparations come earlier and earlier each year? Don't get me wrong, I really don't mind I suppose. That way I guess I'm not the biggest freak when I start decorating the week before Thanksgiving! I'm actually feeling kinda behind since all these other lights are already going up!

Anyway, the other night was the local downtown Christmas tree lighting. Since it's just right down the road and we had nothing better to do, we went to check it out, never having been before.

Didn't know a cold front blew in! It was FREEZING! Luckily I grabbed a coat for Brooke on the way out - "just in case" - and a blanket for Brenna. The temp probably wasn't that low but the wind made it feel sooooo cold. And I was wearing 3/4 length sleeves with no jacket! So, needless to say, we were kinda ready to see the lights and go home. I should've been more prepared. Plus both the girls were going on no naps. But it was nice to get out and chat with some friends and we got to enjoy free cookies and cider, so all is good.

Thinking Brenna was pretending to have mouthwash in her mouth, just KNOWING it was full of air, I squeezed her cheeks. Mommy: "Well, I hope not. Barbie and Ken are supposed to be together right?"

As Brooke was going potty, Brenna yells out from the living room: "I better hear some flushing in there missy!" - Brenna (2 yr) 4-3-11

Brenna: "No Barkley, No Barkley, No, No, No Barkley!"

Daddy: "Brenna, just say 'no' one time to Barkley."

Mommy: "Brenna, what do you need Barkley's help to do?"
