Darth mall

Brooke's into us telling her stories. "Mommy, tell me a story...", "Daddy tell me a story..."

It's hard to keep coming up with fresh new ideas, so Brad decides to start telling her the long drawn out Star Wars stories. Nice.

So, now my 3yr old knows all the Star Wars characters and the storyline and wants to see the new animated Star Wars (Clone Wars) at the movies - thanks to the McD's happy meal toys. Isn't it convenient that the release of this movie coincides with her learning about Star Wars?

So, today, getting dressed for school, she says she doesn't want to wear shoes.

Daddy: "But Brooke, we are about to leave for school. You have to wear shoes to school. You can't go barefoot."

Brooke: " But Darth Mall doesn't wear shoes."

*sigh*

Thinking Brenna was pretending to have mouthwash in her mouth, just KNOWING it was full of air, I squeezed her cheeks. After Daddy worked late and showed up late to bible study, Brenna ran up to him, hugged his leg, and said, "Daddy, where have YOU BEEN?!?! I was SOOOO worried about you!" - Brenna (3yrs) 5-17-11

After getting a "Ken" doll for her bday...

Brooke: "Barbie and Ken both want to marry each other, but they don't know it yet.... (pause).... but then they'll figure it out in the end.... but he may end up picking someone else if she keeps messing around."

Mommy: "Well, I hope not. Barbie and Ken are supposed to be together right?"

As Brooke was going potty, Brenna yells out from the living room: "I better hear some flushing in there missy!" - Brenna (2 yr) 4-3-11

Brenna: "No Barkley, No Barkley, No, No, No Barkley!"

Daddy: "Brenna, just say 'no' one time to Barkley."

Mommy: "Brenna, what do you need Barkley's help to do?"
