My 6wk checkup

Today I had my 6wk postpartum checkup. Everything looks a-ok and I'm in the clear for most anything now. Wahoo! She checked over my incision, says it looks good and is hopeful that my second tummy (aka Csection flab) will disappear slowly. I'm not so hopeful. I don't think it ever really went away after I had Brooke. It diminished, but never fully went away. After all, I have no feeling in parts of my stomach muscles. I could do 100 situps and feel nothing....how would I be able to lose that completely? Anyway, no biggie. I have two beautiful girls to show for it. So I'm happy with it. :) It's just the new me! LOL

Yesterday ended up getting worse before getting better. As Brooke and I left Kindermusik last night (10 miles or more away from home), we must've ran over something and it punctured the tire. Yep! A flat tire. I could hear the air leaking so I tried to beat the flat home. No such luck. I got closer, but Brooke and I ended up having to walk home at 8 o'clock at night. In flip flops. Yea....fun. Brad couldn't come get us cuz I had the baby carseat and he had the baby. He couldn't leave her at home alone and he had no way to bring her. Oh well. So, he went up after we got home and changed the tire to the spare and brought the car home. Ended up the hole was HUGE! And we had to get an whole new tire. Yea...that was a hundred bucks we didn't need to have to spend. That on top of my cavities I had to get filled yesterday that was another $130. ARG! What a way to put a lovely end to the day. And coming home to crying baby and bringing home a cranky up-to-late 3yr old. Ahhhh....the joys of motherhood.

I think, though, Brenna must've known yesterday was rough and knew better than to give me too bad a day today. She was relatively calm today (I mean, for her). She slept a lot today for some reason and actually slept once in her carseat for a good portion of the morning! Allowing me to actually do something around the house!

So we'll see what adventures tomorrow brings.....till then.....!
