Christmas Brunch

Every year a week or so before Christmas (typically), all of Brad's side of the family comes to town (or as many as can get here on any given year) to have brunch at the Country Club and then celebrate Christmas by doing a White Elephant/Chinese Christmas gift exchange. This past Sunday we did just that. Brad's grandmother treats us all to a fabulous lunch every year and we get to see family that we don't see too regularly through the year.

Here are the girls just inside the Country Club as we got there straight from church....

Brenna ever so sweet sitting her table doing her sticker book or whatever it was...

Our family before lunch...

This year the Country Club even prepared a kids' buffet table! Isn't it so cute?!

The kids felt so big getting their own plates. :)

Everyone gathered around...

Ok. Now, prepare yourself for ultimate cute-ness.. As everyone got seated and began eating their meal, Sammy grabbed Brenna and asked if she would sing Amazing Grace for everyone. She said, 'yes'. She went up to the front. Sammy only went with her to show her where to stand. And she began singing in her sweet angelic little voice. Precious!

Be sure to turn your volume WAY up. I was sitting kinda far away (zoomed in) so the volume seems kinda quiet. But you can tell how many people she was singing in front of when its over and they all clap for her. She had a rather large audience!

Isn't that awesome?! So proud of her. And I had no knowledge (nor did she!) that she was going to do this beforehand.

Anyway, enough gushing... on to more pictures from our day!

Chad and Brooke, BFF's...

All the little kids that were present that day...

Brad's dad and his family....

Brad's mom and her family...

And Brenna and Jayden, who are only a couple of months apart, yet don't get to see each other too often. Though, they hit it off great on Sunday!

And here's the whole clan! And actually, this year was quite small! At least half of the family I would say were missing!

Then afterwards, we went back to Meridon's house and had the gift exchange game. Brad ended up with an electric wine opener and I ended up with a set of body lotions/body washes, etc from Bath and Body Works. Score!

This year was much smaller than in years previous. But it was still lots of fun and always enjoyable to see family members!
